Chocolate 2.0 doesn't have the same consistency as other chocolate, why is that?

Chocolate 2.0 has a softer, more truffle-like consistency because the base of our chocolate is made from ground seeds. After our seeds have been soaked, sprouted, and lightly roasted, we grind them into a fine butter or paste and mix them with cacao butter to form the base of our chocolate. While cacao butter is a solid at room tempurature, seed butter is not. The seed butter also helps to cut some of the natural bitterness of cacao and lend a nutty flare to the taste and a creamy mouthfeel reminiscent of milk chocolate.

Are your products certified organic?

We do our best to ensure that, to the greatest possible extent, all of our ingredients are sourced from suppliers that practice regenerative farming principles. Regenerative farming is a step beyond organic. Organic simply means grown without the use of artificial pesticides. Regenerative agriculture involves practices that are focused on restoring and enhancing the health of the soil, increasing biodiversity, improving the water cycle, and strengthening the ecosystem’s resilience. These practices aim to create a sustainable, resilient, and productive agricultural system that benefits the environment, enhances farm productivity, and supports local communities. Pesticides are generally avoided in regenerative agricultural systems. Instead, the focus is on creating and maintaining a balanced ecosystem where natural pest control methods are preferred and often result 

Are your products gluten free?

All of our products are completely free of gluten, dairy, soy, and all other inflammatory potential allergens.

Where is your cacao sourced from and are you Fair Trade certified?

All of our cacao is Fair Trade certified and is produced on Ecuadorian farms that employ regenerative agriculture and agroforestry methods.

Is your cacao tested for heavy metals?

Our cacao is sourced from tested for heavy metals and is well below acceptable levels of arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury.

What is the shelf life of your products?

If stored properly in it’s original packaging, Chocolate 2.0 should be good for up to two years. Beyond that it will still be perfectly safe and nutritious to eat, it just might not have the same flavor and consistency as when it was fresh.

How should I store your chocolate?

Chocolate 2.0 is ideally stored in a cool, dark place. You can’t go wrong with the refrigerator, though we’d recommend eating at room tempurature or even a bit softer. Ideally store out of direct sunlight and below 80 degrees. Above 80 degrees is when Chocolate 2.0 will begin to melt and lose its consistency. This is great for eating but not so great for maintaining shape.

Shipping Times

– Orders are processed Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays, and are shipping via USPS
– We do our best to process orders within 1-3 business days, however, we are a very small business and each batch of our chocolate is made and packaged by hand. Therefore, please be understanding if order processing occasionally exceeds the target timeframe.
– Once shipped, you will receive confirmation via email and delivery typically takes 3-7 business days, depending on your location.

Warm Weather Shipping

– Chocolate 2.0 is very sensitive to heat. During warmer months (April through October) or when shipping to areas with temperatures above 72°F (22°C), we include insulated packaging and ice packs to prevent melting
– Deliveries during warmer months are automatically sent via the USPS express 2-day shipping method
– To ensure your chocolate arrives in premium condition:
– Orders placed between Thursday and Sunday will ship the following Monday to avoid weekend transit delays.

Shipping Costs

– Standard shipping rates are calculated based on weight and destination.
– An additional fee will apply for insulated packaging during warm-weather months.

Shipping Locations

– We proudly ship our products anywhere within the 48 contiguous United States. At this time, we are unable to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Stay tuned as we work on expanding our shipping options in the future!

Damage or Melting

– We take great care in packaging your chocolate to ensure it arrives on your doorstep in the same form that it leaves our facility; however, once the package leaves our facility, we cannot guarantee against melting or damage caused by shipping carriers.
– If you experience an issue with your shipment, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damaged item(s), and we’ll work to resolve it.

Refunds
